Kevin Devine
Kevin was born in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Boston College, he showed up in Breckenridge, Co. with a backpack and a dog. In Breck, he learned the Telemark turn from Gene Dayton, Director of the Nordic Ski School and founder of the
Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center. As a result, Kevin has wandered
the backcountry of Colorado for more than thirty years. He moved to the
San Juans twenty five years ago. A former high school and college English teacher,
Kevin has two sons Conor and Chris. Conor can go inverted in an airplane and Chris
inverts on skis. Kevin earned EMT Certification in 1975, and
nobody can cauterize and open wound in the backcountry like him.
