Rick (Ram) Morrell

Rick was born in Denver. His parents first strapped skis on him when he was 4 and Rick hasn't missed a season since. He skied Loveland where his Mom & Dad were on volunteer patrol. Rick moved to Durango in 1974 to go to Fort Lewis & to get as far from Denver as possible without leaving Colorado. In the summers Rick works as an arborist. When the snow flies, he works full time on the Purgatory ski patrol. On his days off from patrolling, Rick guides for the SJSC. He loves photography & just started playing in digital after years of shooting 35mm & medium format; he says it's like going from straight skis to shaped skis, a new experience.
