guides chauffeur you on a two-hour sightseeing tour into the remote
backcountry of the San Juans.

Leave the Over-Snow Driving to
Us
Departing from the base of Durango Mountain Resort, our sightseeing
tours traverse through majestic aspen groves and stately old-growth
spruce stands, to our cozy mountain hut nestled on a ridge top
at an elevation of 11,200 feet. Along the way, you will have views
of the Weminuche Wilderness area, Colorado’s oldest and
largest designated wilderness, the Cascade Creek drainage and
the imposing Engineer Mountain. And, unlike traveling by snowmobile,
you will stay warm and dry the entire trip.

Our registration desk is located in the Durango Mountain Resort ticket office on the plaza level of the Purgatory Lodge. Purgatory/Durango
Mountain Resort is located 25 miles north of Durango, Colorado,
along the majestic San Juan Skyway, Highway 550.
