More Terrain = More powder

The San Juan ski Company has bragging rights to the best snowcat skiing terrain in Colorado and the U.S. With over 35,000 acres, we have hundreds of runs spread throughout 10 major drainages in the San Juan Mountains. As our maps indicate, we do not ski adjacent to DMR. Instead, our snowcats transport you and your group deep into the backcountry, miles away from the ski area and highway. It truly is a backcountry powder experience.

Pando Cirque (right) - refer to map 3 for designated runs.

Remote. Rugged. Wild.

The San Juan Mountains have the highest concentration of 13,000 and 14,000 foot peaks in the lower 48. Our alpine zone offers awe-inspiring 360 degree views of this spectacular range. The lines we ski in this area are pretty awesome, too!

A snowboarder (left) slides off from our 12,000 drop off zone on Graysill and drops into the top of Pando. Pictured in the background is Hoser Brothers (the ridge line) and C & C Couloir. Refer to map 3 for designated runs.

Early season photo of the west side Graysill. Refer to map 2 for designated runs. When avy conditions are low, we will hit this area shortly after a storm cycle. In early spring, we start attacking the west and south facing runs where we find perfect corn conditions.

Skiing and riding in Scotch Creek (left) is always deeeeeep. A favorite of locals and our guides, we hit this area during storms or the day after. The area is a mix of glades, old clear-cuts and old growth spruce stands. Refer to map 5 & 6 for designated runs.

Cascade Creek is our go-to spot when we want to bang out powder runs and rack up vertical. A quick snowcat ride accesses incredible tree skiing; and when conditions allow, we’ll jump into the lower chutes off Grayrock. Refer to map 3 & 4 for designated runs.
