Snowcat skiing trip confirmation details

Every client who books a single seat or private snowcat with the SJSC should receive the following email with their seat confirmation. But, just in case you misplace the email, we have included the pre-checkin details here:

To make your powder day even more enjoyable, please review the following information prior to your trip.

Please note: We have moved into a new office. The address is 49617 US highway 550. We are located at the base of DMR, 300 feet past the entrance (heading north) on the left side of the highway. Our office is in the Lodge at Purgatory. If you are staying at DMR, we will provide a shuttle from the Plaza to our office in the morning. Please contact us the evening before trip if you need a ride.

Please be at our counter and ready to ski or board by 8:00 am. Upon checking in, you will sign a Release of Liability form and pay any monies due. The remainder of money due on private snowcats must charged to one credit card or paid with cash or check.

Before leaving the base area, your guides will conduct an important safety meeting, which will include information about the day’s weather, avalanche hazard, snowcat safety and backcountry protocol.

Lunch is provided as well as water.

If you have any dietary concerns, please let us know before your arrival.

We offer powder skis and snowboards free of charge. We will set up skis or snowboards the morning of your trip. For the best selection, please let us know in advance if you will be using our skis or snowboards.

Note: we do not provide boots. If you need boots, you can rent them from Gold Medal Sports, located in same building as our office space.

We look forward to sharing a great day of skiing/boarding and fresh powder with you!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at 1.800.208.1780.
